Thomas and tonsils
It's been the busiest couple of weeks for us, so I'll have to blog in installments. I'm starting with the most recent because the pictures were the most accecssible. Isn't that a great reason? I'm also deliriously tired, so please excuse my incoherency and bad sense of humor.
Last week we drove to Heber City (about 30 min) to ride Thomas the Tank Engine. He does a national tour every year. If you're a four year old boy, or like hanging out with four year old boys, this event is just for you. We had a really great time, actually. Both girls were very excited and loved the whole event. First we had our obligatory cheesy photo op:

Riding on the train, Hannah blowing her whistle:

There were other activities, too. Blocks, coloring, dancing, movies, storytelling, Sir Topham Hat (who took a big long break while we were there...hmph.) Lots of things to do and see besides riding the train.

This week Hannah has her tonsils and adnoids removed. The surgery was on Tuesday, and we have had some FANTASTIC help this week while she recovers. And recovers. Will she ever get better? The Walkers came for a couple days. Sam and Rachel thought costumes would definitely keep her mind off things. What do you think? Sam is in the pink flamingo suit.

It was very well done and one of the funniest movies I've seen in months, if you like that dry, subtle kind of humor.
I don't know who took this picture-probably Hannah-but I think this person is saying "I haven't slept in a week and if I stop smiling, I'll probably start screaming." Or something close.
Wow, I really need an eyebrow job soon...
These two are sort of random, but here's the story. Hannah was sitting at the counter while I was...uh, probably padding around being useless, and she grabbed the camera and started taking shots of herself. Remember film you had to develop? She knows nothing of that. All she's ever seen is a camera that shows you instantly what the picture is. She's what is called a 'digital native'.
