June's almost over, y'all

This has been a long, busy month--and I have stunk at blogging about it. I'm battling an ugly throat illness (may or may not be strep, but some of it has been there for three weeks) and my energy is at a serious low right now. Leah's birthday, Father's Day, trips to Seven Peaks, Girl's Camp, neighborhood girl drama, piles of ridiculous homework, a one day trip to Logan for my sister's 40th birthday...what am I missing? Oh, 100 degree heat, wildfires all around us and an impending baptism in two weeks. I'm kind of losing my mind. Will blog in a few days or in a  week when I get a grip.

The big ugly Praxis is over--it was only a slight nightmare. And I have to wait four weeks to find out how I did. A few of you have asked where I'm living these days, so obviously I haven't been clear about that. There is no other way to say it: I LIVE WITH MY PARENTS. I am here to bring the cool back into multigenerational households. At least, I hope it's cool by the time we move out--which is an inevitable but so far something for the way, way future. We are doing well here, but I speak for myself. My poor parents keep leaving on impromptu trips to nowhere, which to me is an obvious escape from the mayhem of two snarky, sassy little angels. I missed posting about a few events because of a)laziness, b)death of a camera battery and c)more laziness. Meanwhile, summer started. I would like to say that it's magical and wonderful and I look forward to having my kids at home with me all the time. I am not that mom. If you are, great. Truthfully, my lot wears me out by 8...

The Procrastination Post

I'm taking a big test on Saturday. It's called the Praxis and all teachers have to take it. Lucky me, this is one of about four that I will eventually take. *shudders* It's stressing me out. I'm not a strong standardized test taker. The title is: Middle School Language Arts. *barfs* Plus, it cost $150 dollars. Plus also, I would be the only one of my group that failed if I don't pass it. Plus also, I had a dreamed that I had to go back to high school and I failed that too. *pees pants*  *eats more chocolate* Here's a conversation I had with Hannah today: Me: Eat four more bites of food. H: My body is a movie theater and there are four seats left. Me:....... Actually the conversation ended there since I couldn't think of a response. I should have said, "What movie is playing?"
