a blended life

This post has two purposes: 1. I am procrastinating some end-of-semester homework that I can't make myself do. Summer semester ends August 6th--- party ! 2. For some reason, I've always loved random signs and find myself giggling alone in the car when I pass one. Here are a few that have tickled me. Note: I did NOT take these while driving! Here's a Leah-heavy post. It isn't terribly informative or wordy, so may be you can fill in the story with what you think probably happened :) Hannah took pictures of her all morning: Here's Frodo the miniature horse. A friend of ours loaned him to us for Leah's party and the girls took turns riding him around the yard and in the street (being led by Grandma, of course).  So tiny!  All the party guests dressed up as cowgirls. Pink cupcakes and lots of friends... I tried to get a picture of everyone holding their name but it was less effective :) Also she got baptized: Leah holding a cheesy rose was Hannah's idea, by the way. Plus we really weren't trying to match. I promise. I know you all are wondering who baptized her. It was Brian, so now you don't have to ask me, "How WAS the baptism?" Cousins! I've been a terrible blogger for a few months. I go through creative phases when I feel like blogging all the time and I go through slumps (like now) where I can't put two thoughts together. Thank you for being patient during the slumpiness. I hope to snap out of it and at least share some of the wonderful things my kids have been doing. Leah had a birthday party, her baptism is coming up, and Hannah continues to do/say something shocking every day. School has been rough this summer. I have had two people tell me in the past week to lighten up, get a B and spend more time with my kids. They must not realize how much time I spend with them and how demanding they can be, but I get the point. So, I will now try to stop being so slumpy, get a B, and post some pictures. Oh, one more thing. Brian is now taking the girls every other weekend and I had a fantastic revelation about this: I can leave town during that time and not take them with me.
