Van Slow-No More!

I'd like to make an important announcement-our VAN IS RUNNING. And it only took a year, several headaches, lots of tears, some 'discussions' with Brian. But hey, now we can leave Cache Valley! I told mom yesterday that if this failed too, we would build a handcart and walk out of here...but I realized this morning that I've lived in Utah long enough to make a stupid pioneer joke. *sigh* I would like to take it on a test drive to Ikea (or is it IKEA?).

A few other nonessentials:

*The camera broke. I put in some batteries, it started fizzling and blinking, then sputtered, then went black. *sniffling* Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but in the past two months we've had the following busted products to try to replace: crockpot, toaster, blender, vaccuum, and of course car. And now camera, which is one of my cherished possessions.

*Brian and I are dropping off kids at Grandma, Grandpa, Jacob and Karina Day's house next week so we can go to Arches National Park. We were planning on camping, but mom scared me with stories of being cold at night so...maybe a cheap hotel? I've never seen the national parks in Utah, which is ridiculous considering how long we've lived here.

*Kindergarten registration is next week. More about that later.

When are you guys going camping?? We went camping in Arches last april(very early april) and we were soooo cold...only at night though. If you bring enough blankets you wont really have a problem. we just weren't prepared.

We'll be there next week, but we chickened out and got a cheap hotel!

I see you took the picture of Skip off your blog. Probably a good thing. Must feel darn creepy to know the guy first-hand, though, huh? Humans are interesting creatures. Sorry about the hotel business - I think you guys would freeze your tissues off out in the desert. Looking forward to seeing ya'll.
