Don't try this at home

I got called to translate for a mom whose baby is getting physical therapy-he was born at 24 weeks. It was nice to get out and work a little, but the appointment was in Tremonton, which is over the mountain and about 35 miles away. The only way I could make it was on the scooter--to make a long, windy, bugs-in-the-face story short, let's just say I won't be doing that again. I really felt like me and the scooter were going to blow off the road at 55 miles per hour. The best part of the trip wasn't when I got lost for a half hour in a county that I neither care for nor am familiar with, but when I arrived at home and decided to try to jump the curb. I got stuck, back end of the scooter swaying back and forth, with the mailman watching. Thank goodness for cell phones-I called Brian, who was 20 feet away, to come and bail me out. For some reason I thought it was a lot funnier than he did. I also figured out that I could play rock paper scissors with my feet, which was another thing that I thought was hilarious.

There was some dispute about the pool being closed because Leah dumped in it (see post entitled This one really stunk). The question was, Was the pool closed because of her poop or because it needed a routine cleaning? Answer: I talked to my friend Dan, whose a manager at the gym. He said that after Leah pooed, someone else left an adult sized log in the same pool, so the combination of the two Number Twos caused a pool closure.

This is something that I want everyone to know. I need to make it clear that I married a wonderful person. I am very grateful to be together with Brian. My life is better because he's in it. We've had some rough spots and certainly some times where I wasn't sure if I could keep him around, but he's really come a long way and developed into a fabulous father. The girls love him so much and I never worry about how they will be taken care when I leave. He is spiritual, loyal, supportive, and understanding.

I started teaching piano lessons this week. It was fun and something I really enjoy doing. That's all I have to say about that.

#2 was hilarious (especially that you made it point #2) and that there were 2 #2s--it's like a numerology extravaganza.
#3 was very sweet and says good things about both of you really.
#4 glad you like it. I was thinking about Rachel's bass teacher Patrick, he's really good at what he does. It sounds cheesy but this can make a huge difference in the lives of your students. Her confidence level in all areas, partly because of bass has completely changed.
