Happy Blog-iversary, Self!

Or "You Can Tell A Lot About Someone By What She Blogs About".

Let's all have a handful of bridge mix in honor of this blog's 4th anniversary. This also marks the longest I have continually kept a record of my life--which is an amazing statistic for me. I feel like a should have a contest or a poll or some kind of blogg-y thing to celebrate our time together, but that just wouldn't be like me.

Here's what we looked like four years ago, living in Tin Can Alley (translate--the trailer park on USU campus that has been demolished):

She was super cute, she just cried all the time:

Introducing the most unflattering picture I could find of myself. The messy house is a key feature. Put on your sunglasses-those legs will blind you.

The famous pink dress (which I pitched in a dumpster in the middle of the night, after it had been worn and shredded and pooped in for months).

If I would have predicted my life four years from that first blog post, I would have guessed something totally different. I thought my life was a zoo (it still is). I thought things would slow down (they haven't). I thought I wouldn't worry so much about money (ha!). I thought my kids would stop crying (still waiting for that). I thought I would have more kids and be married still and teach piano to the neighborhood's aspiring musicians. Thankfully, I didn't try to force that plan and what we have is so much better. We laugh and play together, talk about chickens and growing up and my kids are happy.

And what about four years from now? I dunno. We'll deal with that when it comes.

oh man you kill me. I just love you. Things don't really ever work out how we think they will, do they?

The only thing I wish was still the same as it was four years ago is that you still lived here! I miss you terribly! Come back, ok?

We'll see if employment takes me to Cache Valley schools...it could happen!
