Bits of Leah

This post will be mostly about Leah, because she's providing the most interesting material these days. If someone reminds me I'll do a post about Hannah in the next day or two.

*DAILY PONTIFICATORY MOMENT*

They way I see it, there are different levels of interest regarding stories about other people's kids.

Level One: The Grandma Level. Interest is high and they never get sick of pictures, stories, daily anecdotes, etc.

Level Two: The Distant Cousin Level. Interest can be high if the story is good enough, but usually the listener is feigning interest and only wants occasional pictures and updates.

Level Three: The Sean Day Level. No interest, and you can't even feign interest. Most people have enough tact to stay out of this category.

There might be sublevels, too, but I don't have the patience to get into that.

Okay, having said that, here is what Leah is up to lately:

She decided that Hannah was no longer allowed in 'her' room (a broad term since Leah is sleeping in our t.v./toy/computer room). She wrote "No Hannah" in permanent marker on the door, in case there was any question of her intentions.

Me: Why did you do that?

Deliquent 5 year old: It's okay mom, that's what Ruby does (she's talking about the show Max and Ruby)

Me: T.V. is just pretend-you aren't supposed to really do those things.

Deliquent: I did a good job with my letters.

*mom takes picture of proud deliquent*

Deliquent: Are you going to put this on Facebook?

It came off with Mr Clean Magic Eraser, in case this happens to you.

Leah now has a best friend. They are the same kind of goofy. I didn't crop out the little girl on the right because she was trying so hard to be a part of the group and not really succeeding. It was kind of sad!

This is the best picture my dumb camera would take of hte Kindergarten Christmas program. All three classes prepared about 6 or 7 songs-it was super cute and funny. I'm not one for school programs, but this was awesome. I'm not biased or anything.

Love it!
Remember: Do a spot about Hannah. My interest level: More than Distant Cousin, less than Grandma.

So there is sublevels...
It's hard to know how much detail to give about the munchkins. Wait a sec-I should do a spot about me. Why not?

I think for your Sean Day level you should have included "...contempt for all topics including someone else's kids..." but maybe that would have been too redundant.
